12.38 @111.2mph on a muggy Baytown, TX day :yikes: .

A few of my friends were fortunate enough to ride in the car while it was testing - their reviews were unanimous; that thing is a beast!

Where have I been?? I always thought that M coupes were outfitted with the S52..Or whatever motor the 330ci's come equipt with?

No, there was never an M Coupe with the 330 motor.

S52 and S54.

Up to an including MY 2000 - S52, 3.23 rear stock
MY 2001 and 2002 - S54, 3.15 rear stock

Both use the same tranny, which is the same one in the E36 M3

Gearing in the 5 and 6 speeds are the same other than the lack of 6th in the 5 speed.

Imagine an E46 M3 with 600 lbs of weight reduction, now your in the ball park...

There is a guy on Roadfly that turned a 12.30 @ 112.8 mph with a 60' time of 1.67. Uses a 5500 rpm launch.

software, pullies, 4.10, maybe an intake.

Edit: He was a professional dragster at one point, though. And I do know that Joel has invited him to drive his car.
