Does anyone have a suggestion for travel from Muncih to Paris? Stop off cities/points of interest and general drive time would be helpful.
Thanks to the message board for help ordering my new 545i to be picked up in Munich late July.

We picked up last June and did the following trip to Paris. I worked in Germany for a year awhile back and this is my 4th trip to Europe, so I knew my way around pretty good. But don't worry, navigating is real simple.
1st day: Munich to Nordlingen (On the Romantic Road)
2nd day: Nordlingen to Wurzburg (A wonderful large city a lot of people don't know about)
3rd day: Wurzburg to Heidelberg (Stayed in a neat hotel above the town by the castle)
4th day: H. to Geissen/Linden (This is where I lived/worked and we had friends to visit. It's 50km north of Frankurt. Anyplace around Heidelberg is cool, Black Forest, the F1 tracks are close etc. We stayed 3 days in Linden, did laundry, ate very well (Home cooking), got drunk etc. and then went off to...
8th day: Forgot a town...duh. We drove down the Rhine and then up the Mosel valley to Zell...a wonderful little wine town...then....to Paris.
9th day: Zell to Paris. This may look like a long trip on the map but was only about 6 hours, people in Frankfurt commonly drive to Paris and back for dinner/nightlife in a day.
10th day: Stayed at the airport overnight (I reccommend doing this, but DO NOT stay at the Hyatt), dropped the car off next morning and took the Air France bus into town for 4 days at the Hotel Muerice...nicest in Paris and very expensive. ( But that's another story, the last time I was in Paree I stayed in a place that charged by the hour, not again)
14th day: Cab to CDG Sunday morning and back to the US (50E and no traffic!)
Let me know if I can help in any way. Woody

5 days is kind of tight for this route but check it out:
Day 1 - Munich to Hohenschwangau (about a 2 hour drive)(check out the castles and luges) over night in Schwangau, Fussen or over the border in Reutte or Ehrwald
Day 2 - St. Anton, Austria (about an hour & a half)(on the Arlberg River in a ascenic Tirolean valley)
Day 3 - Lautenbrunner Valley, Switzerland (3 hours 45 min long but scenic drive) awesome scenery, good hiking, stay in Wengen or Murren
Day 4 - Dijon, France (3 hours 45 min long but scenic drive)
Day 5 - Paris (3 hour drive)

If you want a more France-centric set of stops, we did:
Alsace - Equisheim (near Colmar) and Strasbourg.
Champagne - Reims.
Paris.
Whereever you go, you'll enjoy it.
