Hi all,

I just bought a '98 M3 and I was curious how easy it is to convert my fog lights into HID's. I'm assuming I would first need to change out the fog lens casings to projector casings, then I would need to buy an HID kit to fit H1 bulbs sockets, yes? Are there any that are plug and play?

Thank you for any help.

Blessings,

-Davide

Contact Umnitza.com. I plan on putting H1 HID's in my Euro Crystal fogs to match my HID lows. I wouldnt put HID's in the factory fogs, just like you shouldnt put HIDs in the factory headlights:

I put 6000K HID bulbs in my fogs to match the low beam and DDE in my 2001 325CiC and they work fine without any modifications. I also bought from Umnitza. I don't know if you need to change the sockets for a 98. E-mail Umnitza..... they know

mmm i think reflect to to front driver, putting the HID with the OEM or the cristal fog housing. i was wondering if we can put the projector foglights the one selling on ebay. modified to HID , i dont know if anyone have done that.. like the Headlights modified the ZKW projector with a original E46 projector .....

The projectors on eBay are no more "modified" for HID than your stock housing.

They may work "fine",just not functionally as fog lamps.

Are you saying HID fogs can't be used as fog lights? Are you sure;)
