E46/M3 Nav data question

Does the 2005 M3 nav system take CD or DVD or either?
Found a listing for:
"***2005-1 DVD ROAD MAP EUROPE (high) for BMW SAT NAV***
E46, E39, E52, E53, E65, E85 (with SA606 and SA609)"

Is this the Navteq "European Package" that would be correct for M3?

It works with both.

Yes, the DVD is the road map for complete Europe and it's compatible with E46,
