Rumor has it that the E60 is going to get the start button starting from September, which was introduced in the 1 Series and followed in the E90.

Philip, Sarafil, any info on that? :eeps:

Rumor has it that the E60 is going to get the start button starting from September, does that mean that if you buy an E60 it wont start until September?

The information is from someone, who is working for an electronic company which is supplying systems to BMW.

But I said, it's rumor.

its not a rumor, and its not like the E90/E87 standard push-start,.... its an option called Comfort Access that is currently offered on the E65... unlike on the 1er/3er, there is no slot on the dash and you can open the doors by this without taking the key out....the E60/E63 will get this as an option for Sept orders as will the E90, so the Oct deliveries will first see it.... im waiting for it...

Just like the spaceship in Independence Day...it didn't start working until the mothership showed up! :D

That means there might be some other engineering changes as well. I'm hoping for bigger brakes on the 530i to match the 330i.
