Hey everybody just purchased a 1994 (built 93) 530it and love it. just a couple of problems with the most immediate first. the drivers side wiper arm is adjusted poorly. it sweeps past the windshield pillar and does not park behind the cowl. just wanted to know how to adjust the arm. have tried removal of the 13mm nut and gentle persuasion on the arm and does not want to budge. what are my choices next? a small two arm puller? or do i need to remove the vent to get to the linkage to make the adjustment? any help you can give me would be appreciated. don't know how the arm got to be in this position, but the wipers operate without fault, they park well and the passenger side is not out of position. there is no jerkiness to the motor. as i said they seem to operate very smoothly, but when looking at the car from the front, you can see that the wiper arm is up a little too far and when they are on, no matter what speed or intermittant, the arm sweeps past the pillar. let me know if anyone has any ideas or tips. thanks for the help.
