The steering column on my 2002 BMW 745i doesn't adjust when I use the adjustment button. its used to go up and down, in and out all when i put the key and removing the key, it go back to it old position, but now There is no response. However, it does adjust to the preset position with the memory button. Any ideas regarding the problem? I checked all the fuses in the trunk and glove box everything seems to be good working order? When i removed Front both seats adjustment fuse and i put it back in and got in car push the button it did work for little bit and then its stop? why its doing it, can it be DIY on it. i know its the most annoying problem with my 745i. I'm not sure if it's something in the system that's triggering, or if it's just straight up broken.. Plzzz help me on this :eeps:

Hi Guys,

I have a problem that is exasperating me. There was one standard FM station that my radio just couldn't receive properly (94.5 in Bay Area). My wife loves that station. When set to the station, everything would be fine but every 5 seconds or so, there is a loud POP, then silence, then the music fades back in. Then repeat, and so on.

Every other car I've owned receives this station just fine.

Fast-forward earlier this week, I replaced the battery and now this happens on ANOTHER station. The rest of the radio stations work fine.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thanks!

I am the original owner. The car is garaged at night and in covered parking during the day. Nobody has ever smoked in the car.

Exterior condition:

The exterior of the car is in fantastic shape. There are NO door dings or dents of any kind in the body. The rims are in perfect shape except for a small scrape on the front-left rim (see picture).

Tires have plenty of tread on them - in fact the front tires were just recently replaced (Michelin Super Sports).

Interior condition:

The interior is also in fantastic shape. There is a very small amount of wear on the left driver's seat bolster. No scratches or blemishes on any of the trim or plastic.

Accident:

In the summer of 2010, the car behind me was rear ended and rolled into me while on a freeway onramp. It was very low speed, but there was damage to both the bumper cover and trunk lid (car that hit me was higher off the ground than me).

The bumper cover and trunk lid were replaced with brand new OEM parts and the work was done at the best body shop in Atlanta (Magnum Collision). They did an absolutely superb job. I've been driving the car for close to 2 years since then and you'd never know that anything had happened.

I have all records of the repair (and all service done to the car) as well. The car has been serviced exclusively at Global Imports BMW.

Warranty

The car is still covered by BMW's bumper-to-bumper warranty and free scheduled maintenance plan, which is good through April of 2013 (or 50k miles). This is, of course, transferrable.

Price

I'm asking $44k. Please PM if you have any questions.

It's great to be part of this group of appreciators and I'm thankful for any blessings that come from this relationship. Apparently, I'm going to need it?!? My family has a history of being German car owners, but being Amerrican born, and youthfully ignorant, I ventured into the realm of American made... stock cars (Corvettes mostly). But age and experience changes several things, except my class of girlfriends. Since I've owned this 2003 325 Ci, about 5 years now, it's as if I've had a "Bullseye", unapparent to only myself, pasted all over the car? Has anyone else ever experienced this phenomenon A former girl apparently believed "BMW", was merely an acronym for "Break My Windows". She has since, been known around town as "Home Run". I won't go into details concerning the the numerous incidents of bizarre run ins, such as while sitting in the car on a business all, and being the lone car in a vast parking lot at a Mall, an attractive young lady ON HER CELL PHONE, plows into the front of my car, as I sit haplessly while the scinero unfolds before my eyes. However, I do feel the need to express my feelings and pass the data of falling asleep in a hotel room with a couple of good time girl friends, and waking up to "My keys are missing?" The Dallas Police Auto Theft Division is unremorseful in establishing the incident as an "unreportable theft", due to my unorthodox method efforts to retrieve my car, and subsequently, enabled my insurer, Nation Wide Insurance Company, to follow suit with denial of the claim?!? So, since the cars fortunate recovery by the praise worthy Ft. Worth Police, several thousand dollars have the Beemer back in the saddle again. The moral of this story is... BEWARE OF NATUON WIDE INSURANCE!! And-What are ya gonna do; quit driving a Beemer? No, ya gotta love'em... And the girls too. Ya gotta be more careful!!

Hello everyone!

I have 2010 535i xDrive with CA. I ordered another keyfob from my dealership, paid $250 for that. Everything worked fine on the new keyfob except for the CA. I called the dealer back and they told me I need to pay additional $150 to program that key for CA.
My question is there...

Hankook for replacement tires: a top choice by Consumer Reports

Hankook Optimo H 727 was a top choice in the April, 2012 P25 issue of CU. Tire rack had many seemingly impartial very positive reviews. Cost wise it seems less $ than the other 4 for cars. How has your experience been ? Any better tire for the same or lower costs?

The current Riken tires are extra noisy on almost all surfcases. Any idea why? Can one do anything short of changing the tires to reduce the extra noise factor?

1--I think these cars came originally with 225/55/15 tires. What would be a better and nicer looking tire without changing the rim size from 16? Have you tried 245/50? What is the difference?
