hey hows it goin? i was wondering, i read ur post about the xhifting problems u had back in 07 wit ur 323i, i am experiencing the same exact problems, stalling on 4 - 5 then having to stop and turn off ignition. I was also told to get the trany flushed which i did yesterday and today its actually worse! to boot, the freaking engine light came on this morning. Please, can you tell me how can i get this problem fixed without blowing a fortune.

I eventually have AAMCO rebuilt the transmission. I bought a 3rd-party warranty which didn't want to pay for everything and they even found a used transmission for me, but I refused it and have them paid $1700, and I paid the rest, about $3000. I need to find the receipt from AAMCO and give you an accurate figure.

The previous tranny had a problem changing between 4th and 5th gear, and also had a 3 second hesitation whenever I shift from N to R or D.

I also encourage you to join others in the lawsuit against BMW NA, about their 'life time transmission fluid' bullsh--. I asked AAMCO engineer, they don't know why BMW would do such ****ty things to their customers.

Transmission fluid can go bad and will eventually cause problems internally and repair is expensive. Let me know if you have more questions.

    Good luck.
