I have read with great interest your posting on fog light addition to X3 US model. I have returned to Germany after spending 3 years in the US and brought over my X3 3.0si 2008 model. Car was inspected yesterday by the TÜV and I will need to add a rear fog light and white sidelight ("Standlicht") instead of yellow / orange. I have gathered a bunch of information but am still somewhat in the dark what exactly needs to be done. And the local guys here at BMW are not very knowledgeable either. Seems like your colleague found a BMW shop which successfully made the changes. You mentioned in your posting that certain programming needs to be changed. Would it be possible for you to give me some more specific information as to necessary programming changes?
