hey there, so yeah i have the same problem you explained. But i dont know if you've noticed that if you drive it in manual, and im not sure if yours has that option, everything is fine. Depending on the milege on your car, you might want to get your tranny fluid checked out. I took mine to my BMW mechanic to get it checked out on 2 different occasions. The first time, i got a software update which didnt work, then he checked out the fluid and looked if there were any error codes which surprisingly there wasn't. He always tells me that if i wait long enough like 3 minutes after the first startup of the day, it'll be ok. This is an extremely weird problem because nobody seems to know the answer. Anyway, you might want to take yours in for a checkup because the 99 328 is a little bit different from my car.
hi im from sanfernando valley in LA and saw your post abt ur transmission, i have a 328 99automatic,a nd when i drive, i notice that the excalamtion mark sign by the (D)gear comes on, do u have the same problem?but wen i turn it off for a while and on again it goes away, so shud i check the transmision fluid?wat do i do/?tnx..wat kind of fluid to use?should i flush first before refill?
