As i see you are an advanced user for BMW tech. First i want to thank you for your job and your help...
I also have a bmw 730d (2003)(NAVI 02) but some weeks ago i had a trouble with my navigation system.
I had my car in BMW service, i`m using the ROAD MAP EUROPE (HIGH) 06-02 DVD for my car, but they upgraded my navigation system (don`t know on which version was running, seems the default one) and after the upgrade the navigation is not working properly... It is working slowly, blocking sometimes,cannot locate the places but sometimes it does. I tried to get the info for the nav. software version through the TIPS: 8Second pushing down the idrive 3turns right 3 left , 1 right 1 left 1 right and clicking down, tried this way i didnt get the version, so is there other ways to see the version of my navigation system ?
NOTE: before servicing my car the navigation was working good and properly, after they try to upgrade my nav. software if comes with troubles (the answer was that the laser is corrupted, but my opinion is that cannot be because it works sometimes and if the laser is not working it will never work, even 1 time... I know that is hard for you to answer my question due to a unknow model,software version but as a expert one what do you think that could be the problem and which version do you think that they installed to my navi ? or if there is the way to check the version please let me know...
