Hey buddy. Well after having the transmission and valve body rebuilt, the car drives like a dream. Of course the joy was short lived. As I drove the car, I kept smelling tranny fluid. Parked the car and sat for like 5-10mins. Pulled the car back and noticed a puddle of fluid leaking from the front of the car. Kind of frustrated that the shop that rebuilt the tranny hadn't noticed a leak.
That will def. work to replace the valve seals.. that is how bmwoem1 (think that's his name anyways..) does it. Maybe not specifically with those exact tools, but he uses the same idea. If I had a second car right now I'd do it on mine myself but just don't want to risk it until I have something else to drive.. I also need to change out the intermediate levers, but that's a whole other issue
On the kit--that sounds like a plan. I considered trying it without it but I dunno, the kit will probably make it a lot easier
You saw that they raised the price awhile back. Despite this I would split the purchase price of entire kit with you & await your results. If we then decide to spread it thru BFest Members we would take equal shares till we broke even if that comes to pass.
