Albo, I'd start with replacing the reservoir cap gasket first. The sucker is hardly noticeable but's it's there. I replaced the gasket in my old reservoir and the leak stopped. No need for sock mod. Before replacing the pump I'd make sure it's really the pump and not the hose ( or hose clamp) or just the ATF coming down from the reservoir cap.
    Let me know.

Hey, thanks for the response! You know how crappy the roads and scenery get in Ok the farther west you get. I know that the farther east you get the better everything gets, just dont get there too often. I'm new to BMW and am just starting to use this site, poorly, am not a member of any kind of car club, but sounds interesting! I'll take any info you can offer. Thanks for showing that link to me, it was a great Ok advertisement!

Hey hey, I bought OEM touch up paint from the dealer. It was $25. Comes with the color match paint and clear coat.

Dang boy, you're wasting no time, that's awesome. 135's are sexy as hell. For sure I'm going to do wheels, but my part-time income, and school tuition have taken priority. When are you expecting your wheels?

Hey Albo, I wanted to extend a bit of gratitude for your help with my cooling system overhaul. I finished up everything today, with very little problems along the way. Thanks for sharing your experience and expertise.

The parts should be here tomorrow, and then I get down and dirty. Do you think this should take me about 4 hours? (mind you this is my first big DIY)

Yeah, It's my first time actually "working" on the car, done minor maintenance and an angel eye install under my belt, haha. I'm curious how you know I went to Peru...find me on facebook? lol. Yeah, Peru was incredibly amazing. Was there for a little over 2 weeks, half of the time up in the Andes Mtns, and the other half in the western Amazon rainforest. Such diversity in the landscape, and the folks seem pretty friendly. Do you have in interest in going?

Yeah, I wasn't planning on buying that special fan clutch tool, but I was certainly entertaining the idea. I like to think I have a nack for mechanical ability, but I'm definitely a novice just starting off. I have quite a few relatives that live near me (some of who know way way more than I do about cars), that have all the tools I need. Which is a huge relief from a monetary perspective.

I just made my purchase with AutohausAZ today....so wish me luck.

Hi... Sorry for the late reply... the part number from the pic you have shared is 6. In that part, the small rubber hose is torn..I have ordered this part from BMW, it cost me $30.
