The E70 has Adaptive Drive; the F15 does not so not really a fair comparison Not surprising, the F15 has much more body roll.
I find the E70 fun to drive whereas the F15 easy/comfortable to drive. The F15 has its advantages (eg tech) but the vehicle is just not as exciting to drive. Yes, there are times I appreciate the easier steering in the F15, and yes, it is precise enough, but you just don't feel the connection to the road through the steering as you do with the E70.
That said, I do find myself adjusting to the steering of the F15. It's only when I go back to driving the E70 that I remember, "oh, yea, this is a BMW." I'd have to agree with most F15 owners who say you get used to the new steering (especially if you no longer drive an E70 for comparison). If I were to do it all over again, I'd go for the DHP on the F15. From what I read, it offers the best chance of adding some "fun" to the F15.
I saw on one of your posts that you have both the E70 and F15. I'm debating going to the F15 from my 2013 E70 but am worried that the car will not handle like my E70. I have Adaptive Drive on my E70 and the thing corners like a dream. Can you help me out with some impressions? I'm in the bay area (Alameda) as well.
