it's been years since I've worn glasses - the last few pairs were pretty decent, but growing up my mom would always get the cheapest plastic frame (which was always big) and I would end up with lens that were HUGE at the edges! not wearing glasses actually felt like a weight coming off me, because the lenses were so heavy!

it took me a while to adjust to contacts, never liked the "normal" ones you take out and store each night -- my eyes would always water and bother me, so I stopped for a long while. finally started again with daily disposable ones -- love them!! comfortable, no watering, well tolerated even if I sleep in them accidently and continue wearing the next day!

i've thought a lot about lasik - did your husband have any issues? i've heard too many people say, oh yeah, it's great, love it, just couldn't drive at night for 6 months because of seeing spots, etc.

glad you are happy with the results! it is a nice bday present! so, how old are you now? i thought I saw an earlier post where you someone said you were turning 29, but I must have been mistaken.

Haha...I go through phases wheere I do, and don't like them. I wear them to drive, generally, but lately i've been wearing them out socially. Working on my career (goal is to have a job by my 26th bday--> Sept 8th) I find that people take me more serious when i'm wearing the glasses. (and you saw the pic, I hink they're cute- not dorkey looking)

Hubby had lasik many years ago, he's still happy with the results. ....scares me a bit now. ....but if I didn't have a funky cornea I may have done it. If it gts to the point where the glasses bother meii may look into it again (hate contacts)

I came home and he didn't think I looked any diffrent until I smiled...les lines. Horray! It was my birthday present from a plastic surgeon friends of mine, so I knew i was in good hands! ....VERY pleased with the results!
