I`m never said this screening will fit E38 !!!!!!! but reaLOEM site show me this screening will fit any e39-1996-2003 but you right you realoem show me dif. # for e39 made in 02.98 but still believe they will fit! I`m don`t think BMW was replaced anything special screening for same car but in 3 month dif. because my was made on 05.1998
