the radiator drops into the radiator support rather nicely, and I have rigged it solid with some industrial strength zipties at all corners. I have a thread, titled something like... DIY: Electrical Fan install. Just look on my homepage and then in my stats for a DIY electrical guide, I knew nothing about it and was taugth at work by several people, so it should be easy enough to understand, any questions you have feel free to ask.

ugh, i hate when **** like that happens ><

Same sort of thing happened to me right when I got my car. I bought it from some guy on craigslist and he said the tires were all new... well a week later I found one of my tires worn on the inside to the cables! took it to the wheel works and they said I only had 1 good tire left and should get 4 new ones... Ok so i did that, and that was actually needed. Well obviously my suspension was out of whack to wear my tires so badly, so i told them to take a look at it. they tell me its this and that and it'll cost 1200 dollars to fix it... ok... pay the 1200 dollars and get the car back... it's alignment is even worst than before ><

I hate bad shops with a passion.

It will be a loooooong while before I get into upgrading my clutch/fly/etc... I still have to get the rest of my suspension parts, UUC sways, struts, and adjustable rear control arms, and an x-brace, then get it all installed, balanced, and aligned - to finish my suspension I'm probably looking at another 1500-2000 dollars lol. Then I'll probably mess with my intake, headers, cats, exhaust, injectors, cams, pulleys, chip, and then I'll do the clutch/flywheel and UUC evo3 short shift kit, SS brake and clutch lines, clutch stop, and if my clutch has one, that nifty clutch valve delete mod of course I will need to do brakes like IMMEDIATELY after or I will die hahaha. AND finally, body and sound, m3 contours 17x8.5 all around, m3 front/rear bumpers, sideskirts, mirrors, and mouldings, carbon fiber hood/trunk/sunroof/LTW wing, then re-paint the entire car (needs it badly), and finish it all off with some nice audio/video equipment (nothing big, don't want a large draw on the alternator/battery so I am probably gonna go with BSW, bavarian sound works, because they make great sounding speakers and subwoofers that are powered off the stock amp )

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT yeah, those are my plans lol... got 10 grand I can borrow? lol

That is the link to my lights thread. I didn't really take a picture of the lights pre-install ( *slaps self* ) but there is one of them in the boxes, the last pic in my attachments. enjoy

there is a link to the radiator with shroud and fan. I HIGHLY SUGGEST doing this with your FDM. Its a great idea to get that old radiator with plastic end tanks out of there if it hasn't allready failed, because it WILL!! those plastic necks for the upper and lower coolant hoses get very brittle after all the heat warping from the coolant.

when i did my FDM i also replaced the coolant hoses and when i took them off the plastic necks off the radiator crumpled, I had to ******-rig my new hoses on and it was O.K... then the birds happened puncutured it upfront, so i just replaced it afterwards. BUT it would have been much better to do this all in one swing.

Since my FDM I have probably refilled and flushed my coolant twice doing various things with the cooling system (fixing hoses, installing radiator) and am going to have to do it again today or tomorrow for my waterpump install, so thats nearly 100 wasted dollars just not planning out the work properly. Learn from my mistakes bro!

    yo red, i love it!

it is all very easy to do and I have had no problems with it. Coincidentally though, after I installed it my car decided to swallow some tiny birds through the front and break my radiator, so I did have cooling issue's right after, BUT they were NOT related!!! I replaced my radiator with an all aluminum one that came with an aluminum shroud and electric fan. If you do the Fan Delete Mod (FDM) make sure you get an electric fan in there!!! I ran mine without a fan for a few weeks, but don't run the risk I did, if worst comes to worse and all the sudden the temperature outside jumps 30 degrees and you find yourself sitting still in traffic you are going to really really need a fan to move some air around in there, the auxilary fan infront of the radiator just does not push enough air through the radiator to have any effective cooling in the engine bay, which is why you need SOMETHING there.

There are tons of people who vehemently argue the FDM on both sides... I decided to opt in favor of it, my engine is quiter, and I have less rotating mass off my crankshaft which can't possibly be a bad thing

If you check out my statistics and look at the threads I've started you can see I have a few FDM related threads, and a DIY guide for wiring the electric fan.

I will try and find a link to the type of radiator i got so you can get a better picture of it...

I have a question... Did you notice a gain on the bav auto coils? and are the shorty headers emmisions legal?

Car is looking good bro, I bet you can't wait to get that new paint on the legs though ay?
