Hi, I hope you will help me. I've recently purchased a 1996 318 IS that doesn't start and I believe that the dme has failed. I read your post detailing the location of ews and instructions to splice thick green and yellow wires together. Is there another green wire that needs to be cut by the fuse box? Can I then replace dme and have additional keys made without chip?
