I just noticed a tool kit in my battery cover....I opened it and ther is room for various items, but all I have there is the tow hook that screws into the front/back. Is this the only item my 328i came with, or did somebody take the other items?
The basic toolkit was gutted for LCI model years! No crank for manually closing the sunroof, although virtually all cars imported by BMW NA come with sunroofs!
The only tools in my CPO 2011 328i were the tow hook and the screwdriver, nested in the molded plastic found beneath the felt lid of the tray on the right side of the trunk.
What is interesting that manual explains how to open or close sunroof when there is no power - using hex wrench which used to be part of tools in older models and I don't see it anymore.. cutting cost everywhere
