Cars for sale at Bimmerfest?
I am a newbie - never been to any BMW event. I have a 1976 BMW 2002 that I plan to sell. I would appreciate advise from experienced members about this. Bring it to the Bimmerfest, or is it better to market it by other means? Tips?
Thanks, Richard |
man, that's a classic. I bet there's a lot of interest for it so selling wont be a prob.
i recommend taking photos and posting on here for some input. good luck. |
I don't see why not. I sold my e30 at a small event in Orange County. You have a captive audience so bring it on!

Frist, Did it pass smog or is that test coming up?
Do the numbers match? does it have the original carb/smog equipment still on it? How long have you owned it? Maintenance records? Has it been a California car its whole life? ('76 2002s were 49 state and California) Is it 1xx,xxx or 2xx,xxx miles? The more you know and can pass on to the next owner, the better. Also, there's going to be a small 2002 contengent there. I know several of the guys will give any 2002 for sale a serious look at. If it is a California car that failed smog, it is illegal to sell it. If you're avoiding the smog check, it's best to sell it to someone from out of state. Finally, there is a for sale section at The 2002 FAQ Hope that helps. ~Vroomer |
