Are M3's Headrest Logos Tacky?
 

Im thinking ///M logo on a cabrio would look cool

I understand they are stickers, Will they stand the test of time?

Are they tacky? Any opinions?

They already have the nice subtle embossed logos. Why would you want to put stickers over them? :dunno:

well what about an M logo on the kidney grille ?:dunno:

I seem to recall that the M on the grill had specific meaning depending on which side it was on. One side for married the other for single or something like that. It's kind of old school and not many modern M3 owners do this but I always thought it was kind of cool.

That to me is even worse. I can't stand M cars with the M badge on the grill. Arrrgh!
It also looks out of place.

Relax. You've got enough M badges/logos all over the damn car.
Display some more and your car is going to start looking cartoonish...

How many ///M logos did the e30 m3 have? The e46m3 has 18 that are readily visible:
4 - one on each wheel
1 - trunklid
2 - side gills
1 - valve cover
2 - headrests
1 - gauge cluster
1 - shift knob
2 - floor mats
1 - steering wheel
2 - door sill covers
1 - dead pedal
And this doesn't include the 4 on the brake calipers.

I think the two side gills are tacky enough as it is... no need to add more to the pile.

How exactly is the M logo on the "kidney grill" in this pic? That was the question asked...

in your reply, it says "grill". :dunno: but present day models don't have a grill outside of the "kidney"

That's even worse than the original idea :thumbdwn: How about this: If you don't already have them, BMW accessories has //M3 carpet floor mats. If you must have more //M badges, get those.
