Oooh....It looks great!!! I like the rear the best but the headlights and grill really look awkward. :dunno: The interior is gorgeous aswell along with the 3rd row-seat ......Hmmmm......Might have to upgrade my lease....

WOW! It is great!

But:
1. where are the paddle shifters?
2. how do you adjust the air suspension?
3. does the rearview camera come standard?
4. are the wheels 20"?
5. M-sport kit and M-steering wheel?
6. what sort of gearbox is it using (the newly designed gear level is just a gimmick - only Steptronic)?
7. the last couple of pics - is that cinnamon brown leather (love it)!
8. the 4.8i from 0-100km in 6.5s (not as fast as the current 4.8is) - boo!

When will they publish the brochure with the options list? Are they going sell this in Germany Dec 06 (as 07 model)? How about the rest of the world? Will the 08 model start in Sept 07?

For sure, BMW has something else up theire sleive later on, something more powerful.
:D

It's good looking the new X5, really like the design of it!
The rear looks like E39 touring, the lights are almost the same, but it looks good!

EDIT:
but WAIT!!! There is a third row, and THEN STUFF.
screw ugly headlights, they'll grow on me. Better than the GL450

mojosaan 08-08-2006 06:56 AM

Some of the pictures looks way too doctored up for me to say that this is the new X5. Although, it does look nice and I am hopeful.

November 2006. The car will be shown at 2006 LA Auto Show.

2007 X5 is the E70.

Official press release: HERE

Meiac09 08-08-2006 08:36 AM

hugh1850 08-08-2006 08:56 AM

That gear select knob is terrible. I'm not real hot on the front end too.

Meiac09 08-08-2006 08:59 AM

yee, the benz-following is recipe for disaster... the press release is verry interesting, though and makes it interesting.
Hopefully it is a repeat of the E90's photochop 'leak'

Although, it is kind of the opposite of the e92...

What about the uprated 3.0 biturbo diesel engine found in X3 3.0sd?
Will it be introduced later on?

vercetti0 08-08-2006 11:27 AM

how much are the prices in american dollars?

Meiac09 08-08-2006 11:44 AM

well, euros and dollars are close... i think...

then take away 16% because that is one way that our government DOESN'T rape us.
