Stereo question, 335xi
I've searched the manual and forum, and couldn't find an answer. Is there a way to disable the function that automatically increases/decreases the volume based on cabin noise? I know there's a way to tune the function, but haven't found how to completely disable it.
If I can't disable, has anyone figured out how to adjust the function so that it's more refined? Mine increases/decreases volume wildly. Thanks. |
I have not seen any way to disable it in iDrive, so I just set it on minimum setting. But on min setting it doesn't seem to do much at all, so I am fine with it.
I don't think it's technically based on cabin noise but car speed. So are you saying that in your opinion, even on the min setting, it "increases/decreases wildly"? Are you sure you have it set to min? if not, something sounds strange..... Is this question specific to the stereo on AWD's? :) Kidding, as I would think it is the same for any E9x with Logic 7 (which is standard on 330/335 and an option on 325/328 in states). Seems like us non 335 owners (I have that old fashioned 330) are the second stepchildren around here :) |
Thanks.
Even on minimum setting it's pretty inconsistent. The majority of my driving is in town (varying speed), so if the function is based on speed, that may explain it jumping up and down. Frankly, I'd rather adjust the volume myself. |
Anyone figure it out? I'm having similar issue with my 08 335 but only from the rear speakers.

Cannot be disabled.
