Nice...A5 is definately a good run with no traffic. That's the problem tho...there's USUALLY traffic. Good movie...makes me autobahn home sick.

You're correct. I chose a Sunday morning to do it--little traffic and no trucks!

BTW, did you get your Z4 M Coupe from Pentagon Car Sales? I saw one around for a while, but it left quickly back to the states...:eeps:

Yup, got it from Bob in Mainz-Kastel. I was in Wiesbaden if that's where you saw it. I had it in Germany for about 3 weeks. Enough to break it in and have some fun before I had to leave.

You were at the MK gas station the day I saw it. I was there with my M6. I love that car you have and thought it would be a great track car at the Ring. I'm still tossing around the idea of picking one up before I leave.

BTW, I think the move to get the coupe was a smart move.:thumbup:

Nice...small world. Unfortunately with moving on short notice and just barely gettin the car broken in, I didn't get the chance to drive over to the 'ring. Maybe I'll get the chance to go back one day.

Here's the fastest I got mine to go the autobahn (A53). Limiter was set to 270 kmh.

Excellent video, I used to live in Kelsterbach next to FFM Airport, when I picked up my GT3 back in 1999 I drove the same stretch and topped out at around 310 km/h so great to see that good old A5...:thumbup: Did I notice a hint of dissapointment in "that's all she got..." :eeps: j/k thanks for the video...:D

I did the same stretch again this past Sunday with a neighbor. He is a German living in the same town and it was a small birthday present for him. The car accelerates so smoothly to 200mph+ that yes it is a bit of a dissapointment. The road is great and the car is so smooth and perfectly comfortable even at that speed. I was fairly certain that I might have hit about 335 kp/h or better on Sunday, but I was not videotaping the run. I have some ideas to go a touch faster. Stay tuned;)

Reminds me of my Autobahn run at 155mph. Too bad my car was limited.
 

No as fast as 206 mph, but damn!! I can tell you I loved it, but it gets tiring quickly. At those speeds you have to have laser vision and pay attention otherwise a small mistake and its all over for you and anyone in your path. Both would be pie:cry:. Taxes the brain too. Great fun though. I so want to go back and go to the Ring though. Too bad we can't scoop those roads and take them back to the States with us. I wonder what would happen if some corporation decided to build an unlimited autobahn in the States and you have to pay to use it. I'd line up to get my adreline fix as often as a coke addict. I bet they'd make a **** load of money. Politicians would never let it happen though.:thumbdwn: Hey we can dream right?
