From what I can gather, it is the latest Japanese gadget. It is the fastest bubble making machine in the world:dunno:

zachiepie 08-13-2007 07:58 AM

I actually didn't know they had BMWs in japan...

Pirate_copy 08-13-2007 07:59 AM

You can import anything there mate

Admiral-Awesome 08-13-2007 09:32 AM

Hmm...VTECH KICKED IN YO

E36 Phantom 08-13-2007 10:38 AM

WOW............

I really can't believe it. Yeah, I understand perhaps the V-TEC engine from the S2000 (I think that's the one its from, isn't is? Not a Honda guy at all) makes more powere than the stock 4 banger, but if you're gonna swap, why not just go with the M50 or 52?!

Admiral-Awesome 08-13-2007 12:01 PM

My friends S2000 and my 325is run pretty close--I don't see why you would waste time/money in the swap.

Pirate_copy 08-13-2007 12:02 PM

If i HAD to buy a jap car, the S2000 would be the way i would go

E36FewInNumber 08-13-2007 12:09 PM

you a top gear fan pirate?

Pirate_copy 08-13-2007 12:10 PM

Only in that i think it is the greatest show on TV now and EVER

I asked because Jeremy always says how great the S2000 is.

amancuso 08-13-2007 12:13 PM

Because in Japan, they have crazy taxes on any engine over 2.0L Therefore this was his bang for the buck. Also it was a fun project for him I guess. I'm not really a fan of any kind of motorswap. If I want a faster car I just buy one.

Pirate_copy 08-13-2007 12:14 PM

He loves it...and rightly so!

Jeremy and the team = gods!!!:bow::bow:

I'm amazed you've never seen this video before. It's only been around for something like 5 years. And been posted here on several occasions.

Nothing wrong at all with the S2000 engine, it's a pretty badass little motor. And amancuso is right, CRAZY taxes on bigger engines, that's why. Plus, it's cheaper to get a Honda engine in Japan than a German one. Imagine that.

I can't imagine that the S2000 and the 325is are really that close. One car is lighter, with a more powerful engine. The other is a BMW.

doing this swap is like a white kid tryna be black.

Eddie Bimmer 08-13-2007 10:02 PM

that car is def rev happy. amazing transplant, like seeing arnold's body with jay leno's head. not quite, but damn close.

xxx008xxx 08-13-2007 10:34 PM

ianiac 08-13-2007 10:43 PM

bounzing_soulz 08-13-2007 10:55 PM

idk about all this now...

at least he did a good job with it, it obviously seems to run pretty darn well. not that id ever consider it or consider recomending it this swap to anyone ever... but this guy seems to know what he is doing.

I dont know, I had always heard the S2000's motor was pretty good to start out with, but you cant do anything with it. nothing you do ever really shows any noticable improvement, or at least the improvement that the K series will show. I know its really the only honda thats rear wheel drive but still, id still stick to my K series motor from the RSX or the Civic SI. :D

good for performance, bad for the soul
