Gray Side Skirts
 

Hey guys. I know this has probably been addressed a thousand times but here goes again...Has anyone on here actually removed the gray side skirts from their bimmer using the castrol super clean degreaser method? And if so how did it turn out and would you recomend it??

Also, when I get back to SD next week I'll be posting some pics of my babe! (95 325I)

I have heard tell of people doing it that way. I haven't, but supposedly it is possible, but exceedingly tedious. I mean, once you get the grey off, if you accidentally keep going, there goes your paint and, Hey!, you're back to grey again!

I actually went out to find the castrol degreaser but it was taken off the market. I got the next best thing. It was called "Hot Stuff" it worked but man was it tedious. Too much work, your better off sanding it and repainting it.

Yep, I would go with sanding. Tried and tested for a million years !
