just jacked up my car for a quick view. I am missing the oil drain plug access panel and matching screw. what's the part number for one that goes on an '02 330 Ci ?

They stopped putting that on cars (even coupes) starting sometime in 2002 I think.

Great site!! Thanks for the post. I've been looking for a DIY on tranny and differential fluid change.

Yet another example of car companies de-contenting to save a couple bucks, or in this case, euros.

I am not sure what the function of the panel is but I am going to venture and guess that it protects the bottom of the oil pan (with that thin plate ?) and makes better aerodynamics.

Anyhow, I will try to order it from my local dealer, Shelly's BMW.
