I have access to some decent parts for 1977 - 1985ish 320s and 318s. It's hit or miss what I have on a bunch of these cars sitting around that I can get them from but send me a message and I can certainly look for the part off what I have sitting around. Actually, it's in my friend's lot where he keeps these early 3-series models and sells parts for a very reasonable price, but anyway, like I said, I can look at them, in them, under them, etc., if there's something you're looking for. location is Oregon where they have not been exposed to snow or ice. The exteriors and exterior trim are generally shot from the rain, but the interiors and other parts are sometimes very nice. Like if you needed a glove box, for example, I know I've got one of those for a 1977. I'm also new to these forums but there's my two cents.

I think I've got a decent back seat from either a 77 320i and I also might have that accelerator cable in the 77 or 81 320i ' s and what I'll do is take a closer look in there tomorrow or the next day to see. I know the guy who has these cars and looking to sell these parts and he will know more about the accelator cables than me but either way I'll check and look in those and get back to you. He lets me crawl around in them but I can't recall the backseat offhand so I don't want to say for sure, I think at least one is good. If so, I'll take some pics.

Hello im looking for some springs for my 1982 320i, either stock or aftermarket with a drop, let me know if anyone has anything like this
thanks- Josh |
I'm just curious, for an item like the throttle cable that is going to be pretty old off the 1979 I have access to, why not just get one new from a place like this? This one is for a 1978 320i:
http://www.bavauto.com/shop.asp?HC1=...=1978&HCM=320i Also, for the springs, have you checked out rockauto.com or autohausaz.com? Both those places usually have a pretty good selection of OEM and non-OEM parts. The springs on all the cars I have access to are shot as I would expect pretty much any stock spring from 1980 that has been driven on is shot. I'm just curious if you have looked at those places. |

OK, let me do some googling for some springs for an '82 320i and see what I come up with.

for some springs on an '82 320i, there's this listing currently on eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/H-R-LOWERING...-/230805922562 Here's another one, but same manufacturer. They would be aftermarket lowering springs but I am continuing to google ....: http://www.tunersdepot.com/BMW_320i_...ng_Springs.htm there is some interesting info on that one page up there but let me see what else here ... And then Rockauto has some springs, if you navigate that site, it's hard to link to but they've got non-stock springs, sold individually. I cut and pasted here: possible link: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,ca...,parttype,7512 BOGE Part # 250420 Spring Design: Coil Spring; Sold individually Rear Axle - Non-stock item--shipping delayed up to 3 business days $44.79 Add Part BOGE Part # 250400 Spring Design: Coil Spring; Sold individually Front Axle - Non-stock item--shipping delayed up to 3 business days $54.79 I'm just gonna google a little more and see if I can find an OE part ... This one looks shady and has no picture and just says used OEM: http://72.32.45.135/design/1982/BMW/...ont/41280.html I just noticed they want $320 for what appears to be one front coil spring and you want to pay $320 for one spring, I'll sell you all four off my car and get those aftermarket lowering springs for myself .... :o) If you really want used OEM, I can take a better look at the strut springs in the '79 and the '80 and also need to verify that they are compatible in your '82 but I'm pretty sure they use the same springs. Those aftermarket lowering springs actually look kinda bad-ass though, I'm kind of thinking about getting them as I'm writing this. I hope this info was helpful and can google some more if you need it. If anybody's used those springs by the way, please do tell about that. Also, don't feel bad if you didn't find this stuff googling at first. I've been googling for research for my job for over 10 years so googling for BMW parts is actually relatively enjoyable for me. If I could only make a living doing it. |
Rofl, Charbel is over here, too? Man, I'm jumping on this band wagon a little late over here. Mainly used this forum as a reference tool. I wonder who else is over here from my "native" home forum. :P
