Bluetooth help
Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum, but I allready done some research, but couldn't find nothing about my case. I have a 2005 x5 (european version) that have a hands-free kit and nav, the phone is a wirelless bluetooth bmw one, made by motorola, and I want to connect my other phones, what I have to do, do I need to install other complete handsfree kit or just change the phone cradle? I would like not using the phone cradle, since I change phone very often. Here are some pics: http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/9...926800x600.jpg http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/1...928800x600.jpg |
Hello,
I have the same phone and I'm going crazy by trying to figure out where I should place the sim card. Could you give me a clue where the SIM-card must be inserted? Many thanks! |
Have you guys tried to pair your current cell phones to the bluetooth system without the use of the BMW phone ?
Since your X5's already came with the BMW phone, not sure if it will work, but it's worth a try..... I have my iPhone connected this way. You will just need your Pairing Code to get it working. Good Luck !!! |
Yep, I did try so however my iPhone can't find any bluetooth device.
I tried also with older nokia phones and although I found and actually can pair the phone correctly to the car's bluetooth nothing more happens. All time I get the message "Please insert sim card" and I have no idea where I should insert it. Thanks! |
Have u tried to unhook the BMW phone and just try ur normal phone..???
Since mine didnt have the BMW phone, I'm brainstorming over here. Ultimately, when I turned on the bluetooth on my phone, it quickly found the X5's bluetooth signal.... |
No, I haven't tried that yet as I couldn't figure out how to unhook the snap-in module but it's absolutely worth a try. Thanks for that idea!
