Opinion on painted calipers...
1 Attachment(s)
So, as some of you know, I just recently installed some Enkei wheels on my 325i. Just curious as to what some of you think about painted stock calipers. Yay? Nay?
|
Yay if u paint them black, or silver. Black = no maintenance or cleaning, they disappear. That's how I did mine.
|
I used a zinc based "cold galvy" spray on mine. the flat silver finish looks clean and isnt RICE.
|
Black or silver only, please....
|
On a white/black rims.
Gloss black imo. |
^^^^yup!

silver...

Just go mettalic blue or something..
It will match with the BMW emblem on your wheels. Or go red. Who said painting calipers is rice? It just cleans the look of your car. |
Why do you want to paint them?
If it's for function, black's the color, preferably flat. Dissipates heat better, dust doesn't show. And on dark wheels like yours, calipers will be practically invisible, unless you opt for ultragloss. If it's for looks, you'd have to go silver to avoid the rice look, but still make the calipers evident on your dark wheels. P.S. Come to think of it, white might even work, given the body color. But then you'd have to clean the wheels AND the calipers every weekend... P.P.S. White with a black stripe across? :D |
