Good Deal For a New 2009 BMW 328xi Sedan?

Im about to Lease a new 2009 BMW 328xi Sedan. Its Montego Blue with oyster and black leather on dark burl walnut trim. It has the premium package, cold weather package, navigation system, heated steering wheel, and ipod/usb adapter. and of course AWD with steptronic auto trans. the total is around 43k. I'm planning on a 36 month lease with 7k outta-pocket (down). the total due at signing is gonna be 10k( which includes all the other crap plus down payment). With this the monthly payment is $343. i wanted to know if this is a good deal or not? i really wanted the 335xi but i cant afford it especially if i want the same exact packages. I think im getting a really good deal, right?

**** wow u guys are really telling me alot of good adice on leasing. ok so can anyone pls give me some numbers on what i should be paying for a 09 335xi and how much i should put down?

Hello and Welcome :hi:

That's a nice low monthly payment :)

Hard to tell without detailed numbers.

$7k seems like quite a bit to put down. You do realize that if you total the car driving it off the lot, you lose all $7,000, right? GAP insurance comes free of charge with BMWFS leases. It makes sense to use that money to do multiple security deposits rather than contributing to the cap cost reduction.

Doesn't sound like an especially good deal to me... you'll be paying $620/month... like $22,347 overall and then be left with nothing after 36 months.

i put $500 security deposit, and lets say i wanna get a 09 335xi instead. what will happen to that money. also pls explain the whole "multiple security deposit".

$7k is $7k too much to put down-obviously a lot of that is cap. cost reduction. If the car gets totaled, say bye-bye to that money. Never put any money down on a lease. Read up on leasing.

You know, you are much better off paying more each month and put none of it down except for security deposit and first payment.

Yeah that's high.

Go to the Ask a Dealer forum. There is a tutorial there about leasing and about Multiple Security Deposits, which are used to bring down the money factor/interest rate.

Do not put down $7k. Bad idea.

edit: here's some info I just posted in another thread - http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...75&postcount=4
