Z3 Oxygen Sensors
 

Has anyone replaced the O2 sensors on their Z-3? I know there are front and rear sensors (2 for each side)...right? Looking at the diagram on RealOEM.com, they appear to be running off the headers /manifold. So, how do gain access to them so they can be replaced? Your response will be greatly appreciated.

you just jack the car up on stands...slide under and remove the appropriate sensor.

FYI bank 1 is the 3 cyl to the front of the engine.

Some of them you can get to with a standard o2 socket, otherwise you need the appropriate flare wrench.

Purchase a BMW repair TIS disk.

Guess I'll be ordering the sensors today. Thanks to both of you for the advice/help. By the way, I have the ETK installed but am having some difficulty with the TIS, but am getting help from the forum member who originally emailed me the info. to download the program.

Thanks for everyone's input/advice. I replaced the 2 sensors on the top side of the engine using an O2 sensor socket...now the 2 sensors underneath the car...looks like fun!

Why don't you just purchase it?
