645 Sputtering at low speed and rpms
I have a 2005 645ci 40k miles. Has anyone experienced sputtering and hesitation at lower rpms? It almost feels like a backfire. And at times it happens at regular intervals like its a misfire. Dealer didn't find anything when hooked up to their computer. Idol seems smooth.

Yeah my car does the same thing... It's intermittent for me though, so when I took it to the dealer they weren't able to duplicate the issue. If stomp on the gas a little bit it goes away. Try it. I don't think you have too much to worry about.

Yea it comes and goes. One day it does it. The next it is fine.

bad fuel? just a guess...
try having the injectors cleaned... that may help... I think somebody here just did... |
Fuel injector cleanse, try it. Do two tankful treatments in a row. Consider having a professional fuel injection cleanse done. If that doesn't work, a bad injector may be likely. These engines should not hesitate.

Ive got the same problem on my 2005 645cic. Ony 11,000 miles. I think it is bad fuel or need injector cleaned.

Great, I'll give that a try. Thanks for the help.

I hv the same problem.
Mine at 60km/hr @1300-1500rpm It kinda ease the problem with the air con on. Does it solve your problem after the fuel injector cleaned?? Can I use something like the spitfire that pours into the fuel tank??? |
Additives
Hi
Most of the additives are rubbish, but there is one which is used by some major prestige cars on their service and it is GK44 which is readily available in the US. I have used this in my car and is brilliant, not cheap to buy but worth it every 15-20K miles to keep the fuel system clean |
