Newly purchased 325i
I just purchased a 1991 325i convertible and it is in pretty much mint condition. 90,000 miles. Overall it is in great condition with the exception of the leather interior (seats) have 20 years of wear showing.
My problem is, the guy i bought it from told me that one of the actuators for the top needed to be replaced, which i will do, but in the mean time, is there any way to secure the hard boot (top cover) in place once the top is stored manually?
I can get the top in place and the cover to go over it, but it will not click in place. Is this an electrically controlled latch?
Any information on this would be greatly appreciated as i am 3 days into the BWM ownership world and really have no experience with these great automobiles.
Thanks for your help.
Just a thought, you may want to post that question in the 3 series area as this is mainly for the "M" models
