BMW Dealership Employees Caught Abusing New 1M?
Just saw this story on Jalopnik about a couple of dealership employees taking pre-delivered 1M out and giving an intense test drive. I would hate to know a car I bought was driven like that before I got it....

Lovely that story comes out the day my incoming 1M is getting its PDI at my dealer...
|
This isn't surprising news to me. My job is next to paragon honda in queens & you should see how some of their employees drive the civic si. There is absolutely no reason to hit 4th gear in the streets.

I watched the video, and honestly, while I wouldn't want them doing it to my car, it's not that horrible of abuse.
It's not like they were doing crazy clutch drops, handbrake turns, or extended burnouts in that video. Who knows what they did while the camera wasn't rolling, though. |

Looks like it's not limited to 1 dealership
My car get scratched at VPC They saying it's just a small scratch on bumper. But it should not take 2 weeks to repair - so I think there is more. |
Looks like the owner of the aforementioned 1M is not happy. Oh he also paid $10k over MSRP.

I can definitely understand. Poor guy….
Not a good publicity for the BMW. This is not what you are expecting when paying premium price. |
Brings me back to the days when I used to valet cars, we had a blast:D..........................25 years later, I will not valet park my car................
|
I watched the video, and honestly, I expected much worse.
It seems to be that the best solution is to insist upon a replacement vehicle from the dealership. I don't get this lawyer-up bit. |
