Misfire and Backfire after oil change - Help please
After doing my first DIY - an oil change, all done "by the book", I left the car alone till the next day.
Today when I went in the car the battery sigh was flashing and when I drove the car it started backfiring (increasing in frequency and violence...) and I could accelerate clearly with lack of power and improper functioning (misfires I think)
I returned home to check oil and whatever I could.
Oil level is fine
Interior light was left on for the whole night. Can this cause a decrease in battery voltage, leading to weird backfire issues and such?
I have the battery on my 12V charger and tomorrow will check it again.
Can anyone help or relate to this issue? Do you think the battery is the culprit?
The car is a recently acquired E30 with an S38B38 swap, so you can understand I am a little apprehensive.
Sorry for the long first post,
