Pads
How much is it to replace rear brake pads on a 645 ci 2005
Sent from my SGH-T959V using Bimmer |
If you go to a dealer they will charge you $132 for the pads, $27 for the sensor and $170x2 for rotors if you need those (90% of the time dealer will recommend new rotors). Plus probably 2 hours labor.
You can get Akebono low dust rear pads for $76 at Tireack and have an indie mechanic install them for about 1 hour worth of labor. Good Centric aftermarket rotors go for $83 each. |
Dealer in Hawaii quoted me $1200 just for the rear which included pads, rotors, sensor, and labor. I was already going to do the work myself I just wanted to see what they would charge for the job.

Good luck with the brake job. |
We pay for the privilege to only have one dealer on island who takes advantage of that. Parts here are marked up so high that I usually have to go in and fight for the price that they should be. For example I had to pay $48 for my rear brake sensor. They are crazy I think that I am going to start buying my parts from Cali and having them shipped to me.
