What BMW was it, horrible crash, mother and kids survive
|

Wow! By the wheels and tail lights I'd say e46 sedan.
|
Driven that road many times, that is a pretty treacherous stretch, the bridges are narrow, the road is curvy, and people haul butt. It's particularly bad going southbound, because it's downhill, and people get going a lot faster.
Great job by the rescue personnel and the Seabees. Sounds like the family will recover. Keith |
wow, I cannot believe anyone survived in that E46.....
|
There is always accidents in that area it seems like. Im from Oxnard so I have drove that stretch many many many times.
|
Honestly if I am not mistaken that bumper cannot be from a sedan so I would think x if not 118d which i highly doubt they had. Also look at the tail light its way to long for a sedan.

Another article said it was a 3 series. Not sure which one.

Looks like an Orient Blue E46 325i to me. Those tail lights are unmistakable and the wheels are also right for it.

There is a letter from the owner of this vehicle, Carrie Johnson, in the latest BMW Magazine (Autumn/Winter 2012). It was indeed an Orient Blue E46 325i, "Old Blue."
