Phoenix Yellow Z4
 

Living in Greenville has its BMW surprises. One of which is the ability to randomly see new colors that BMW is testing on Z4's. These cars are typically seen while being driven by a plant associate, manager, or an executive.

Saturday I saw a Phoenix Yellow Z4 emerging out of an automated car wash. I thought my eyes might be fooling me, so I turned around, took off the sunglasses, and sure enough, there it was being wiped down by the crew at the end of the car wash. What a waste of a good paint finish. Others may say that the swirl marks will help the color. YMMV. :)

So, FWIW, this may be a new Z4 color in the future. It could also be a "one off". Time will tell.

Wishful thinking!!! I personally am hoping they don't make any Z4Ms, so that my M Roadster holds its value better :D

Someone had a pic of a Phoenix Four on some board somewhere. I suspect Phoenix would look good on a Z4 myself, but I have eclectic taste.

Ack, not an improvement.

This color looks more like a sage green - not a nice color on this type of car, but could it get any worse? Urban Green is THE worst color I have ever seen on ANY car.

It doesn't look like that in person. It is more of a light beige/olive. Not bad live, IMO.

You mean people actually like Pistachio? We've got an '01 Z3 back off lease in that color, and it's just hideous. I can't wait to see that car go away.

I don't know if the owner hangs out here, but I've seen a Pistachio Z3 at the last 2 Bimmerfests and I think it's a hideous color. Maybe it might look better on a different car?
