Ordered a 335i two weeks ago, no production number yet!
 

I ordered a sportline 335i with a manual trans almost three weeks ago and have yet to get a production number. Am I out of luck for getting a 2012 MY?

Word around the campfire is that there is a 4 to 6 month wait for 335i's, can anyone confirm this? I need to know if I should just cancel my order and put in another one for a MY 2013 M-sport.

Just to give you an idea of the time it takes. I ordered on 02/25 and production started 03/29 and shipped 04/18.

Don't sweat it man a lot of us are waiting a long time for custom 335 orders. I placed my order on 3/10 and didnt get a production number until 3/26. Production begins 4/30 in Rossyln SA.

If you can wait for the MY13 M sport, do it.

IMO it depends a lot on the dealer. I got my production # 2 days after I placed my order on 335i sport line with JMK BMW. Good luck

If your dealer had an available allocation they gave you, you should be able to walk out with a production number the day you ordered the car. If they have not given you a production number yet, I would be suspicious they do not have an allocation to give you and they are waiting for one in the coming month(s). You need to call your dealer now and press them on this issue for a straight answer.

I ordered my 335 on Saturday (4/21) and have not received a production number. The dealer did not have any allocations available. He's hoping to get one either this week or the first week in May. If that doesn't happen, then it will be another month. I was initially quoted an 8 to 12 week wait until delivery, so as long as that holds true, I'll be happy.
