You guys notice the wipers kinda blow?

They don't do such a great job with their wiping task...

Seems like years back they were amazing. Not these.

Really? I thought they were pretty good and really quiet. I suppose they could be slightly faster at the quickest setting.

No they're quiet. They just make a mess and they don't make as clean a pass as others.

Mine are good on the up wipe but then they schmear the water on the down wipe.

I been meaning to go to service and demand that they replace the wiper blades.

I had the "schmear" problem on my first car, too. (I think we even had a thread about this once?) Don't know about the new car yet.

I've never used mine because I never take it out in the rain...LOL!

Itinj will back me up. In NYC the term"schmear" is used by everyone...

Grandmas especially ask for a big schmear of cream cheese on their bagel.

And yes... "schmear" is very common in NYC

I applied a product called Aquapel to my windshield. It really seems to work well at displacing water and one application is supposed to be good for 6 months. I bought it from Tire Rack, but it's also available from Autogeek.

One rain storm and a schmear on the down wipe. Disappointed but glad it doesn't rain much here.

May try the tip but I'm definitely getting dealership to new blades. These suck.

They also streak the side of the car w just a pass of cleaner fluid/wiper.

Today was my first experience with the wipers in a torrential downpour and I am very unhappy. In the 7, if you were going faster than 75mph, the rain would just slide up the windshield. For the most part, the wipers were not necessary. This was the case in all previous 7's and not just F02. Today, in the 650, the water was stationary on the windshield and I had to turn the wipers on. Even after that, it was still very hard to see when it was raining very hard. Once the rain calmed down, the wiper was able to make clean passes and visibility was better.

I wonder what the deal is... just bad blades or something more?

Besides the blades sucking, I don't even think they're fast enough in heavy rain either (highest setting).

+1. I ran into this last weekend when the rain was coming down like crazy. I typically just hit auto, but they seemed a bit slow, so I tried to turn them faster and nothing happened.

Agree with everyone on this thread. The wipers suck really bad. My last 6's wipers were amazing and I never changed them. These always look like bugs are stuck under them as they don't clean evenly.

I'm with Jonny. I'm gonna ask for some new ones.

I think they changed suppliers and the quality of the blades went down.
