Need brakes and maintenance program expired

So I go to the dealership yesterday because my brake lights come on... Come to find out my maintenance program expired a couple weeks ago.

I drive a 2008 m3 convertible with 37k miles on it and replaced the front brake pads not too long ago.

The dealership is quoting me thousands to fix the rear brakes and of course wants me to shell out 4k for two years maintenance program and another 5k for the additional warranty or trade in my baby for a new ride and more debt.

How much are rear brakes to replace and how much for rotors if needed at the local BMW private garage?

Rotors are about 300/each, pads (oem) like 200ish IIRC.

Measure the rotors to see if they need to be replaced. Put some akibono ceramics on there for street duty.

Just did a quick search at RockAuto and found:

A set of front and rear Akebono ceramic pads will cost $147 and rotors are all over the place but a set for cross-drilled 'high performance' rotors can be as low as $1185 for all 4 corners so you're looking at a little over $1,300 in parts plus tax and shipping. Then there's labor unless you do them yourself.

For comparison, when I was talked into the extended maintenance plan for this car (no regrets) I was told the price for new pads and rotors at the dealership is about $3,000! (The price for a non-M e9x was much lower.)

You aren't putting "less stock" rotors on there..,,, cross drilled floating rotors are going to be what you can put on there..... So look at 200-300 a rotor like I said

Yes, that $1185 price I mentioned is for front and rear OEM Centric cross-drilled rotors.

You sure you are looking up for e90, not e46?

Very sure. I've used RockAuto for a few years now because they consistently have the lowest prices, ship via USPS Priority mail, and even give repeat customers a discount code you can use to save a few percent extra off your order.

Just go to their parts catalog, enter your car's model year and make, and see the parts pricing.
