Finally,
Hi All,
Just a quick shout out to all Festers and a big thank you for all the info shared on the forums. Finally, the journey has come to an end. Traded my E92 335i and I took delivery of my E92M3 in Jerez Black/Fox Red. Got it with: Individual Audio Competition Package DCT Carbon Trim So far have done about 600Kms so the engine is still really tight but this thing is a beast. Following the run-in procedure religiously so a while to go before I scare myself but I am having a blast! As much as I loved my 335, the M3 is a totally different car, in a good way. My biggest concern was if the ride would be just too harsh for a daily driver. So far, absolutely not. My 335 came with M-Sport suspension and the M3's on comfort setting is a bit firmer but not by much. Thanks again to all the Festers because the information here made the decision just that little bit easier by answering all the questions I had. Cheers ALL!! |
Congrats and enjoy the new ride!
Pictures, please! |
Hi rotorheadbob,

The handling enhancement over the 335i is very noticeable and going around corners you feel the extra grip. To the point that you feel confident going just that bit quicker as compared to the 335i. The car is thirsty though, much more than the 335i. In the 335i, the OBC showed an average consumption of 9.1l/100km and the M3 shows 14.1l/100km. Having said that though, the M3 is currently on about 1900kms (yes, I know, about 80kms before the magic 2000!!!) soI would expect the figure to go down as it runs in but then again, that means over 5500rpm so maybe not..... Anyway, first real day of proper sunshine in a while so took a couple of quick pics as promised. Hope everyone enjoys..... |
