2009 Z4sDrive 3.0i - New to me Z4
 

Well I jsut broke down and sold my 06 E85 Z4 and bought the New to me CPO 2009 3.0i fully loaded.

So far I really love the car. It shifts very hard unlike my older one. I cant wait to dig into the E89 forum and find out what goodies everyone has.

This is the only pic i have of it right now. cant wait to get it dirty.

Congratulations on the new ride. I just got into my Z4 a couple of weeks ago after 4 years in an E92.

Congrats. I went from a 2003 Z4 to a 2009 Z4 as well and am most impressed with the improvements. It's a huge difference

The 2003 E85 is a Roadster

the 2009 is a luxery car that drives and handles like a roadster. In fact (IMOP) handles better than the E85

+1 !!! I really love that colour, there was none available when I bought my Sapphire BLack with white interior. I saw your colour on the road the other week it looks really good.... anyway good car you will definitely enjoy.......

I too went from an 2003 Z4 to a 2009 Z4, but had a few BMW's in btween - 2001 X5, Mini Cooper S and now a 2007 335 and the 2009 Z4 - Black on Black with Sport and Preminum Packages - 18" wheels with Michelin tires, Windscreen, Garmin GPS with a Kuda mount.

Thanks, I do too. it really shows the lines of the car. I almost bought a black one but it didnt pop like this one for me. However, once the black one is cleaned and polished there isnt another car on the road that is more beautiful.

Congrats. I've got the same color. Only difference is that I had my de-cladded.

Garmin GPS with a KUda mount? mine showing some pics?

I will try an upload a pic or two of the Kuda Mount for tha Garmin GPS. Kuda also makes mounts for other brands of GPS and also phones. They are a German company but they make mounts for almost all vehicles. Quality product - faily eay to install, but is slightly costly - but then again it looks like it was built into the dash. First, Congradulations and best of luck. I have one like yours Black/Light Beige I had a 2006 Z4 Black/Red much nicer combo OK personal taste. I miss my 2006 Z4, but is totally diiferent than the 2009 first year for the new model. It is nice and no complaints. I will do anything to bring the luster to the next level. May I suggest that you try cleaning it with clay, Mothers, and Mc Guires and some others manufacture that clay cleaning kit, buy whats on sale. Aprox: $20.00 It does bring it to another level. Enjoy the ride and people will be saying this to you "Nice Car" I dont handle compliments well, but I do agree. I have owned prior to this Jaguar XKE's and people couldn't help but touch the car, I clean finger prints off all the time. Enjoy the ride and it does behave nicely when called upon...

Hi, I apologise I realize yours is YELLOW geat car to be noticed in, I was thinking Black.By the way regardless of color they all get dirty and look great when clean. Hand washing it is worth while and wipe it down with a towel and finish it off with a micro fiber cloth for that great luster. Enjoy, Arnie

Depending on what you are going for there is a good bit out there, but the biggest improvement [IMHO] is in the suspension. ditch the springs and sway bars and replace them with H&R pieces, reduce the rear camber 0.5 degrees, and a 5mm spacers on the front wheels and a 10mm spacers on the rears and you will be amazed at how civilized the car becomes, and how well it handles. This takes out 95% of the understeer and make it easy to push hard through corners and recover
