new at this-525i won't start
 

Hi ya'll, I'm NEW so bare with me. Just became owner of 525i, 1990 and figuring it out. All of a sudden it won't crank. Nothing. Battery o.k.-Fuses o.k. Thinking on a broken piece near ignition switch or neutral safety switch. Any sujestions. I don't know BMW's at all. Thanks, Mac

starter motor is gone, replace it.

I bought a 95 525i with the same problem and I replaced the starter and it started right up its not a easy job but not that difficult if your inclined.
