When Will the E93 Cease Production?

I have a 2010 M3 Coupe and am considering trading it in for an E93.

But I'd rather do this in the spring of 13 instead of the fall. One reason is that I'd want to do an ED. I was just in Germany and rented a Z4 vert and a 318 wagon. I loved both, but I REALY want to drive my own M3 on the Autobahn and in the Alps!

My local dealer told me the current 93s will be manufactured into June 2013. That fits my timing, however, that just doesn't sound right to me. I frankly thought production was going to cease last June, given that the newer 3 series sedans are out.

TIA!

Bump!

Any one know about E93 production?

BMW announced earlier in the year that the E92 would end production in June 2013. Not sure about the E93. It doesn't sound like there are many dealer allocations on the M3 so I wouldn't wait too long.

McLoven,

When you say there aren't that many dealer allocations does that mean that remaining production line is almost sold out? If so, what's your information source.

Thanks in advance.

This is what I was told by the sales manager at my dealer. He said there were not going to be many allocations for the MY13 M3. I do not know what he was basing this on. In fact, he said they only had one allocation left for 2012.

The e93 production will end a month or two after the e92.

I thought that ED is not included in the dealers allocation.

+1 - This is what I head directly from Matt Russell in February at a BMW CCA meeting.

True, but BMW suspended/ended ///M car being included in this group around July. So if you want an ///M car it is currently coming out of dealer allocations.

M3's have been selling like hotcakes, so the number that each dealer has been allocated for 2013 models may try up if you aren't talking to your dealer by January '13. Remember there was a hard time finding Sedan allocations 45+ days before it went out of production, so don't wait too late.

BMW of Rockville has 3 M3's on their lot. Just something to consider. 2 verts and 1 coupe with CF roof.
