Dension DIY installation has lead to PDC acting weird
Hi guys
I would really appreciate any advice on this, also I have just joined the forum and I hope I am in the correct section I own a BMW 630i 2005 with the M-ASK single slot idrive 6.5 and with a CDC I remove the CDC to install the Dension 500sBT system I had a play around with the Dip switch settings on the device in order to make it work with my car However after doing so, I noticed when I put the car into reverse that the PDC, parking distance control is acting irractically and the rear sensor is a continuos beep. I don't know if the dension installation has something to do with it or it is just a coincendence and that one of the sensor has failed. I feel pretty dishearted as I just got my car and really would love to know what the solution is to 1. Fix the PDC 2. Install the dension 3. Can it be fixed ? And would a software update help? I really appreciate any advice given and I would be very humbled. Thanks Greg |
I would try re-posting in the main 6 series section located here. This is the DIY (do it yourself) section and it does not get many views.
A few people have installed the Dension so they might have some advice. The PDC control unit is a separate module so I don't think that is the issue. Maybe try pulling the connections to the sensors and re-connecting them one at a time to see if you can identify a bad sensor. |
Thanks yorgi , I'll do that
