REmoval of Neutral Safety Switch 1999Z3 auto
I'm new here and have a question.
I'm trying to remove the NSS from my wife's car - 1999 Z3 auto 2.5 - and I can't get to the second bolt directly under the lever which locks the trans in park without the key in the last position. There is a spring-clip and a small spring on what looks like a clevis type pin, but it will not move to allow the lever to be moved out of the way to access the bolt.
Is the pin frozen? I've hit it with WD-40 and it will not budge. It looks like it should slide out but won't.
Anyone who has done this please let me know what am I missing here.
Thanks for any replies.
No Responses. :( Has anyone ever done this to their car?
David, what is causing you to need you to remove the NSS?
