Beautiful car! Congrats. I'm still waiting for mine to be trucked to PC after last month's ED. I'm hoping to do PCD in the next two weeks, so I know that the wait can be excruciating.

Whoops, apologies for replying to an answered question. Thought I would be able to delete this but, unable.

Congrats, the car looks great. I should be getting mine in the next couple of weeks, I am not sure which boat I am on but the wait is coming to an end.

I do not recall if you tried checking the track your vehicle shipping ling here
https://att.2wglobal.com/gstattweb/o...uickSearchPage VIN goes in cell to right then (cargo ID) Then click trace.
It shows me on the Carmen. No one else here seems to be on it. I thought there would be a group of us.

I would if I had the VIN. CA still has not gotten it for me. BTW I don't understand why BMW site doesn't put the VIN in there when the car is build. to me this is a mistake.

BMWF30 Order and Delivery Experience Blog

Here is the blog that I have been updating from day 1. It's a little long but I hope that it may help someone who is planning to put in a new custom order. I am still finishing up the 3rd part which details the PCD experience.

Thanks,

How do you like the red highlight with the leatherette. Is it too much, I am a little afraid about it.

Funny you should ask:) I haven't seen many threads on people that mentioned this. In fact that was one of the things that surprised me. I did all this research and thought I had it all figured out. The leatherette does not have the highlights or red piping. It only has the red stitching. I was surprised to find this as I expected the red piping and upon close inspection of the series catalog, it does say that its the red stitching.

So in your favor, its just perfect. The highlights would've made it look a little bit more sporty for me. Regardless I love the leatherette and how it feels.

Thank you that is what I thought. And I agree with you the leatherette feels just perfect for me, I had it on my 07 328i, never had a issue with it. (never mind how easy it is to clean).

It's so nice when a new member of Mineral Grey Nation is born.

Congrats!

And once you're settled in, take a look at painted reflectors. Really transforms the front of the car:

bmwf30,

Great looking car, although I may be a bit biased- have a similar one on order. Current status is enroute to the US.

What tires came on yours?

Thanks
Bruce

Windsor, Your CA has your VIN. It is also on the Vehicle Inquiry which he can run for you. It tells the status, what ship you are on, when it leaves Germany, when it arrives in the USA. You can plug that into the website when you create your BWM Page. Your CA should have given you the VIN and Production # almost as soon as you ordered.

If CA doesn't give you vin then ask for manager. Part of experience is tracking it.

+1. I haven't bothered dealing with a CA(unless for a test drive) in 4 years. Now i just go to the manager and save myself a **** load of time.

I got the production number, just don't have the VIN. I have a call into him to get me the VIN. What pisses me off is why doesn't the BMW site give you the VIN as it has for my other BMW when the car is build.

I learned first hand not to trust the BMW site. Its lagging behind a couple of days and is very limited in the tracking process. Unfortunately the best and most up-to-date information can be got from your CA. Even the 800 number has limits.

Well talk about the devil my CA just called he said the car will land in NY on the 2nd of October. What ship is scheduled to land in NY then? The Topeka?

Your CA has the vessel name and the VIN. Pressure him now, you'll have your answer in an hour.

Put your vin in cel to right then press track. Unfortunately the boat is to far off the coast to physically track. It sb track-able sometime Sunday off of east coast. via this link
