Front License Plate for M SPORT F30 (Illinois)
Since the state of ILLINOIS requires both front and rear license plates, what do you guys think about using this for the MSPORT F30's front? and keep the real one in the trunk just in case one gets stop by the police.

To be within the law, you have to have the state DMV-issued plate in the front. If you are willing to drill holes to mount the "custom" one, why not just put the real one? |

here in NYC, i debated skipping the front plate on my E90 Msport, but decided it wasnt worth giving the cops an excuse to pull me over or to get tickets when parked. |
If IL is very strict about it, you're better off putting none than the euro and see how long they take to bother you. If they're lackadaisical about it like CT, you can get away with it for who knows.... 5-10yrs without getting bothered. Of course the best thing would be to put your state plate on but, we all like rebeling from time to time.

:tsk:
As much as I like European style plates..it's better to put state issued plates in the front as well. Wish we had Florida-like road laws and tax rates...oh well.. :( |
If your averse to holes in your bumper, there are license plate holders that screw into your tow hook threads...
